Contractor : Dawn Group
Location : River Clyde, Glasgow
We designed, fabricated and erected a range of bespoke balconies and balustrades in both mild and stainless steel at the prestigious Glasgow Harbour development.
In total we installed 328 balconies. The balconies were a key element in the design of the development providing a stunning facade to the building which has now become a familiar landmark on the River Clyde. The galvanized mild steel structural balconies featured a glass in-filled balustrade and were clad in timber decking.
The contract involved a large quantity of stainless steel work including balustrading, handrails, bollards and woven mesh privacy screens.
Steel grating was used to provide ventilation for the underground car park and also acts as decking. Privacy entrance screens were fitted in the Town Houses and were fabricated in mild steel, finished in timber cladding and featured balustrading in-filled with potter and soar stainless steel woven mesh. The contract involved various other elements of secondary steel work including balustrading to internal stairs, external perimeter railings and open mesh flooring infill panels to the service risers
