We designed, fabricated and installed over 300 balconies at the Glasgow Harbour development on the River Clyde.
Balconies & Juliette’s
The balconies were of various sizes but each used the same design detail - mild steel balustrade with mesh infill and timber handrail. We also installed over 100 Juliette balconies using the same detail.
Six large feature balconies 8m long x 1.4m wide were installed. Each balcony weighed 1.2 tonnes and was fitted fully pre-assembled with balustrades, handrails, flooring and surface area protection.
Stairwell Balustrade - We also installed over 500 flights of mild steel balustrade and handrails to concrete stairs. Our handrails arrive onsite complete with fully fabricated stair-end returns produced using our own CNC Mandrel Steel Tube Bending machine. Not only does this produce perfectly formed returns but it vastly reduces onsite installation time.
Perimeter Balustrade - 1200m of perimeter mild steel balustrading featuring mesh infill and timber handrail was installed across the development.
Internal Balustrade to Timber Stair - Internal steel balustrades featuring a glass infill, timber top rail and a mild steel stringer were fitted to the new timber stairs. Matching balustrade was also installed to mezzanine levels in the duplex apartments.
Stainless Steel Balustrade - External stainless steel balustrades and handrails were installed in the communal leisure areas. The complete balustrade, including the infill and handrail, was fabricated using various sizes of box section; creating a stylish and contemporary looking design.
We supplied and erected the structural support steelwork for the mesh flooring to the courtyard and car park void areas. We then installed over 2500 m2 of open mesh elephant grating flooring. Finally, we also installed designed, fabricated and installed all car park entrance gates.
